Why are Cardiff players so expensive?

Trying to do the league sbc and saw that Cardiff team is a lot more than the rest. Is this because of the unfortunate events in the week or the fact that it’s an sbc, can someone answer this please?

Cardiff players so expensive because they are rare
If you got no coins, snipe / mass bid on Cardiff players. They sell at 8k or 9k and you can get them for 7k or 7.5k

I suffered for Cardiff player (i left them last)...very hard to catch them to buy (really very rare !)...at the end i did it....just patience... regards for all players

Try doing some cheap sbc that reward silver player packs, not guaranteed but I got a Cardiff player in one last week (completed the premier league challenge earlier this week)
